Kim Gerrish, CFRE
Executive Director
Michelle's Place

 

Kim Gerrish, CFRE is the Executive Director of Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center.  Kim was the first employee of Michelle’s Place 15 years ago.  She has grown the organization from humble beginnings in their 250 sq. ft Center to their current home of 10,000 sq. ft. 

After 17 years of serving women and their families dealing with breast cancer,  the organization recently launched an expansion campaign that will serve anyone facing any kind of cancer.  This expansion includes a capital campaign to purchase the building they are operating out of.  Kim has worked in all aspects of the nonprofit organization.  She has been a volunteer, created programs, managed events, written grants and continues to oversee operations at the Center.   

Kim was recently awarded the 2018 Citizen of the Year by the Temecula Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Temecula Rotary Club, Economic Development Agency and President-Elect of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Inland Empire Chapter.

 

Robert Nava
Vice President, University Advancement
Cal State University, San Bernardino

 

Nava joined California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) as Vice President for University Advancement in November 2018. 

A long-time member of the regional community, Robert returned to the Inland Empire after serving eight years as the Vice President for University Advancement at San Francisco State University (SFSU). His administrative portfolio included development, alumni relations, governmental and community relations, advancement services, strategic communications & marketing, the Office of Protocol & Special Events, and the San Francisco State Foundation. He led the university through all phases of a $150 million comprehensive campaign, which is expected to go public and exceed its goal over the next year.

He was formerly the Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement at the University of Texas, El Paso (UTEP). In his five years at UTEP, Nava led the development and alumni units and directed the University's Centennial Campaign, which raised almost half of its $200 million goal before its public launch.

 

Marie Schultz
Assistant Vice Chancellor, Campaign Director
University of California, Riverside

 

Marie Schultz is Assistant Vice Chancellor, Development and Campaign Director at the University of California, Riverside. She oversees academic unit-based development efforts at the major and principal gift level for her alma mater. As a member of the Development Leadership Team, her responsibilities intersect all aspects of fundraising at UCR, which produces more than $35 million of annual private support.

With two decades of higher education fundraising experience, Marie has deep expertise in major and principal gift fundraising and a broad background in staff management, advancement services, and annual giving. She works closely with academic and administrative leaders to support strategic fundraising projects and activities as part of UCR’s first comprehensive effort, Living the Promise: The Campaign for UC Riverside.

Marie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of California, Riverside College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences and an M.B.A. from the University of Redlands.

 

Lisa Wright, M.DIV, CFRE
President & CEO
United Way of the Inland Valleys

 

On behalf of United Way of the Inland Valleys, as its President and CEO, Lisa unites people, ideas and resources to improve the quality of life within Western Riverside County. She attained a Bachelor of Science in Business /Accounting from the University of Arizona, a Master of Divinity from the Claremont School of Theology and is completing a Ph.D. in Religion and Ethics from Claremont School of Theology.

In addition to being an ordained deacon with the United Methodist Church (UMC), she serves on local and regional boards and committees that further her interest in building a community where all can thrive - including Treasurer of the Neighborhood Immigration Clinics (Cal Pac UMC), the California Baptist University School of Business Dean's Leadership Council, Commissioner with the City of Moreno Valley Utilities, Commissioner with the Community Action Partnership of Riverside County, and Executive Committee of the Riverside County Executive Collaborative for Non Profits.
