Description: 

Our Eventology presentation is an interactive conversation that covers the reality we, as professional and volunteer fundraisers, face during and after the current Covid19 pandemic. How do we host fundraising events virtually? Is it appropriate for us to ask for donations while our economy is suffering? Where do we even start when planning to turn our gala or golf tournament into a virtual or hybrid fundraising event? How do we fundraise without our paddle raise? Darren and Michelle walk attendees through a virtual event timeline, digital marketing strategies, and fundraising software solutions at every price point to successfully and profitably host a virtual fundraising event. 

 Audience Take-Aways:

1.    Template for virtual timeline and a "show flow" sample for a Live Stream event. 
2.    Confidence in hosting a virtual event - seeing is believing.
3.    Answers to the question, What the Tech? - technology and software solutions for every sized budget to host an online auction or virtual gala. Live stream samples as well as fundraising platforms.

4.    A future contact to rely on as Fall and Winter events are planned and need to have a Live Stream component.‚Äč

Michelle Gilmore, CFRE is currently the Senior Development Director with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in San Diego. With 20+ years of experience in fundraising, she has served on multiple boards, held development leadership roles, and is an active member of AFP. Earning her Certified Fundraising Executive certificate in early 2019, Michelle specializes in marketing, database management and maximizing revenue through event management and volunteer recruitment. Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge to the fundraising conversation.

Darren Diess is a Benefit Auctioneer Specialist, AFP Board member and professional fundraiser. He works side-by-side with his clients making sure that their event is a huge success. Darren is in Rotary International and lends his expertise to many nonprofit organizations throughout Southern California. He strives to cultivate relationships, engage donors, and build long-term relationships that result in sustainable funding for nonprofits that allow them to "do more good.”
